THIRD PARTY ASSESSMENTS (Næringsfaglige vurderinger)
Do you need an objective assessment of your business for yourself, for NAV or perhaps for another you need to convince?

Forretningsutvikling Oslo AS is NAV's chosen partner in connection with third party assessments. Should you wish to retain support from NAV while setting up your business you are required to have a third party assessment of your business. There are of course other situations where you might need an objective assessment of how realistic your idea is, for example when applying for a resignation package from a former employer, or perhaps you simply want the opinion of another specialist for your own reasons.

If you receive daily unemployment or rehabilitation allowances you can apply to retain this funding while you develop and start up your business. In order to apply you need to have a third party assessment of your business plan.

Development Phase (utviklingsfasen)
You can apply to retain your daily unemployment or rehabilitation allowance during a development phase of up to 6 months. This phase can be used as time of preparation before entering the start-up phase of your business. It must include a detailed plan of activities for completion during the period. Example activities can be: writing a business plan, conducting a market analysis, developing the concept, taking a class, making marketing materials and renovating a office.

Start-up Phase (Oppstartfasen)
When you start your business you can apply to retain your daily unemployment or rehabilitation wages during the start-up phase for up to 3 months. If you are ready and need to start immediately, this is the only phase you are allowed to apply for. The period is defined from the moment you are out in the market and begin to promote or sell your products and services.

Tips
In order to speed up the process and to increase your chances for a positive assessment, we recommend that you send some information on your business or project to us in advance. Such as:

• Your business plan, or at least a completed copy of NAV's application forms
• A budget with how much you need to invest and one with how much you need each month.
• Your resume / CV
• What you know about your customers need for your product or service? Do you have any contracts or customers already?
